Paragliding above Petrovac with mountain-to-sea views over Lucica and Buljarica bays
Petrovac Scenic Demonstration

Petrovac is the home mountain-to-sea flight of Paragliding Beauty.

This is the quieter coastal route: a takeoff from the slope of Pastrovska Gora, mountain air above Petrovac, a glide toward the Adriatic, time over the sea, and landing near Buljarica Beach.

Short answer: Petrovac paragliding with Paragliding Beauty Montenegro is a weather-bound tandem demonstration from around 650 m above sea level, shaped by Petrovac, Lucica and Buljarica. Choose it for a quieter mountain-to-sea route, then compare Relax Flight and Big Air against the actual day.

Petrovac route fit

Read Petrovac as a route, not only a place name

Petrovac fits when you want a quieter mountain-to-sea route, understand the difference between Relax Flight and Big Air, and accept that the day still decides what the coast can offer.

Petrovac route-fit infographic showing Pastrovska Gora takeoff, Petrovac Lucica and Buljarica views, Relax Flight, Big Air, the usual hour and day-fit checks.

Place

Pastrovska Gora to three bays

The route starts around 650 m above sea level and reads Petrovac, Lucica and Buljarica as one compact coastal frame.

Relax Flight

Calmer first contact

This fits when the wish is a softer 15-20 minute mountain-to-sea demonstration rather than maximum duration.

Big Air

Longer ridge route

This fits only when the day supports a longer Suterman and Petrovac ridge line, up to about 25 minutes.

Usual hour

Meeting, mountain, flight, beach

Under standard conditions the whole rhythm is usually up to 60 minutes, with meeting, drive, short walk, briefing, flight and landing near Buljarica.

Day fit

Conditions still decide

Wind, visibility, launch and landing suitability, pilot judgment, logistics and participant comfort decide what can happen.

Quick comparison answers

What makes Petrovac different?

Petrovac is the quieter Beauty route from the slope of Pastrovska Gora, around 650 m above sea level, with Petrovac, Lucica and Buljarica forming the three-bay visual frame.

Which Petrovac format fits me?

Relax Flight is the calmer standard route. Big Air is the longer Suterman and Petrovac ridge route when the day allows it. The better choice starts with mood and conditions, not with the longest possible time.

Is Big Air guaranteed?

No. Big Air depends on wind, lift, route suitability, pilot judgment, logistics and participant fit on the day.

How long does the Petrovac route usually take overall?

Under standard conditions, the whole Petrovac rhythm is usually up to 60 minutes from meeting the team to return, including the drive, short walk, briefing, flight and landing near Buljarica Beach.

What is the current Petrovac participation fee?

As reviewed on 2026-05-26, the Petrovac participation fee is 85 euro for Relax Flight and 125 euro for Big Air. GoPro footage is included. A request is still not confirmed participation; current weather, route suitability, pilot availability, logistics and participant fit decide what is realistic.

What Petrovac feels like

Petrovac is the Beauty team’s home coastal route for a first tandem paragliding demonstration. It is not the loudest or most urban route in Montenegro. Its strength is quieter: mountain air, three bays, open water and a flight that moves from slope to sea.

The takeoff is on the slope of the Pastrovska Gora mountain massif, around 650 m above sea level. From there, the visual story is compact but rich: Petrovac, Lucica, Buljarica, coastal cliffs, open sea and the mountain line behind the coast.

The route stays close to its own shape. The shore, the ridge and the bays keep returning to the eye, so the flight feels less like a spectacle added onto the coast and more like a way of reading the coast itself.

Petrovac is not a generic air tour. It is a first-contact demonstration with a real place identity: compact, coastal, and easier to read through three bays than through a city skyline.

Relax Flight or Big Air

Relax Flight

Relax Flight is the standard Petrovac route. It is designed for a calm first contact with tandem paragliding:

  • about 15-20 minutes of free flight
  • free flight above the mountains
  • glide toward the sea
  • flight above the sea
  • landing near Buljarica Beach

This is the softer Petrovac choice when the main wish is to feel the place from the air without turning the experience into a longest-route question. It is also the cleaner option when the participant wants a calmer first contact before asking whether a longer ridge route is realistic.

Big Air

Big Air is the extended Petrovac route for participants who want more time with the ridges and the coast when the day allows it:

  • up to 25 minutes of flight time
  • route flying along the Suterman ridges
  • possible direct flight over Petrovac town
  • flight above the mountains and toward the sea
  • sea section and landing near Buljarica Beach

Big Air is not guaranteed by choosing the longer format. It needs suitable wind, lift, route safety, pilot judgment, logistics and participant fit. If the day does not support that route, the honest answer may be Relax Flight or a hold rather than a forced longer flight.

How the Petrovac hour usually works

Under standard conditions, the whole Petrovac rhythm usually takes up to 60 minutes from meeting the team to returning from the flight.

Meeting can usually be arranged:

  • in Petrovac near the lower Voli market
  • near the Petrovac bus station
  • near Buljarica Beach

After meeting the Paragliding Beauty team, the usual rhythm is:

  • about 20 minutes by car to the mountain area
  • about 5 minutes of walking to the takeoff place
  • about 15 minutes for briefing, equipment preparation and takeoff / landing instructions
  • up to 20 minutes in the air for the standard Relax Flight
  • landing near Buljarica Beach
  • return to the agreed meeting point after the flight

Times are approximate. Wind, traffic, route choice, participant readiness and pilot decisions can change the rhythm of the hour.

Photo and video

GoPro photo and video footage is normally part of the current participation conditions, but the team should confirm the exact arrangement for the day.

During the flight, the participant usually holds the camera stick, so the footage can show both the participant and the surrounding coast. A download link is usually provided during the day.

Participation fee and included footage

As reviewed on 2026-05-26, the current Petrovac participation fee is:

Petrovac formatParticipation feeIncluded
Relax Flight85 euroGoPro footage included
Big Air125 euroGoPro footage included

The participation fee is local Petrovac context, not confirmation of a flight. It supports the current participation process, pilot readiness, equipment use, weather assessment, briefing, route judgment and day-of coordination. Participation still depends on current weather, route suitability, pilot availability, logistics and participant fit.

Suitability and limits

Petrovac follows the same practical limits as paragliding in Montenegro generally: the day must be suitable for flight, the route must be appropriate, and the pilot must be comfortable with the participant and conditions.

As a working guide, participant weight is usually limited to around 100 kg. Children may be considered from around 3 years old when a suitable child seat is available and a parent or legal representative gives written consent. There is no fixed upper age limit by number alone; comfort, mobility, ability to follow simple instructions and the pilot’s decision matter more than age itself.

For this location, participants with limited mobility are not a good fit because the route includes a short walk, mountain takeoff and landing movement. Alcohol is not accepted before participation. Fear is not a disqualifier by itself; the team will try to help the participant settle, but the final decision stays with the pilot.

What to wear and bring

Dress for a short mountain-to-sea outdoor activity, not only for the beach.

Closed, secure shoes such as trainers are strongly recommended. Avoid flip-flops, loose sandals or footwear that can slip off during takeoff or landing.

Bring a windbreaker or light warm layer, especially outside the hottest summer hours. The air near the launch area and during flight can feel around 5-10 C cooler than the temperature down by the sea, depending on season, wind and time of day.

Sunglasses are useful. They protect the eyes from sun, brightness over the sea and airflow during flight.

Before the flight, it is better not to drink alcohol and not to eat a heavy meal. A light, comfortable state is usually better for takeoff, flight and landing.

Year-round, but never automatic

Petrovac can be considered year-round, but that does not mean every day is a flying day. Weather, wind direction, visibility, route suitability, pilot availability, logistics and participant fit all matter.

The next step is a calm fit check, not a fixed promise. Send the preferred Petrovac format, date window, number of people, age / weight notes where relevant, and where you are staying. The team can then check whether Relax Flight or Big Air is realistic for the day and explain current participation conditions clearly.
